Santiago’s lawyer reported missing was found dead, tortured, and his body burned.
The jurist, Freddy Zarzuela, was found in the La Delgada community in the northern part of Santiago. The National Police are investigating the case.
The lawyer was a native of the Batey I community of the La Canela Municipal District.

This new case adds to a series of murders against lawyers in this city from last year.
Such is the still unresolved case of jurist Basilio Guzmán, shot to death in front of his residence in the Cerros de Gurabo in Santiago in June 2022.
