SANTO DOMINGO.- The presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party, Abel Martínez, responded to the mockery of former president Hipólito Mejía that if he overthinks, his head will burn.
“Just as I respect the elderly, even when senility plays a trick on them, I also respect and admire my dear country people, a source of pride for our Republic,” said Abel Martínez.
The mayor of Santiago also said that pride is a bad adviser.
«That is why we say: «Hold on, Dominican, that is almost there; soon the arrogant ones who have sunk our country will leave.» And of course, we must give way to youth and new ideas,” said Abel Martínez.
