SANTO DOMINGO. – 55.1%, according to a survey by the company Markestrategia, believe that the current president Luis Abinader will win the elections that will be held next year in the Dominican Republic.
The fieldwork for this measurement was carried out at the national level on April 21, 22, and 23. Their results indicate Leonel Fernandez has 28.1% favor, Abel Martínez 14.2%, Miguel Vargas 1.1, and Guillermo Moreno 1.5.
The company said that 65.9% of those surveyed feel Abinader is a president close to the people, and 65.1% approve of his management.
He pointed out that these results were obtained through the question: “If the presidential candidates in 2024 were Luis Abinader, Abel Martínez, Leonel Fernández, Miguel Vargas, and Guillermo Moreno, for which of them would you vote?
“When asked whether or not they believe there would be a second round of elections next year, 51.3% answered no, while 22.3% said maybe and 20.9% believed so,” he said in a press release.
The pollster said that when asked: Do you believe that President Luis Abinader is leading the country on the right or wrong path? 62.3% indicated that they were on the right track.
The polling firm said the measurement was carried out on the political scenarios for the 2024 presidential elections in the Dominican Republic.
He said that it had the participation of 1,214 people and had a margin of error of no more than 2.8%.
GALLUP SURVEY
Sixteen days ago, the results of another survey conducted by the Gallup firm were released, indicating that Abinader is ahead in the electoral arena.
