Mexico.- The first actor Andrés García died on April 4 at 81, according to the actress Anahí. The Dominican died due to various health problems, which became complicated in 2022.
Andrés García worried his relatives and the public months ago when he reported that he suffered cirrhosis, a disease that caused severe dizziness, falls, and weakness. According to the soap opera Heartthrob, this condition was caused by his youth full of excesses.
In the last days of his life, the actor’s wife, Margarita Portillo, announced that Andrés presented a picture of anemia and pneumonia; due to these two diseases, he had to be under medical observation in a hospital.
Andrés García was born on May 24, 1941, in the Dominican Republic, but from his youth, he emigrated to Mexico and settled in Acapulco, Guerrero, with his family.
Already on Mexican beaches, the actor worked as a boatman until film producers saw potential in him to take him to the big screen. At the age of 25, the Dominican made his debut in the seventh art with Chanoc (1967).
During his 48-year acting career, Andrés participated in over 100 film and theater productions. Among the most important projects he starred in are his first film, Chanoc, Pedro Navaja, Tú o nadie, Los Juniors, Toña machetes, and many others.
After he retired from acting, he dedicated himself to creating content for his YouTube channel and producing his biographical series.
