A few days after he resigned as campaign manager of the presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Francisco Javier García, he urged the organization’s militancy to vote for Abel Martínez in the next 2024 elections.

Without elaborating specifically on the reasons for his resignation, Francisco Javier said that he expressed to Abel Martínez that he can count on his support during his political campaign and that in the following days, an evaluation will be made to determine reinsertion through participation in the party strategy committee.

Upon leaving the wake for the founding member of the Purple party, José Joaquín Bidó Medina, at the Blandino funeral home in this capital, Francisco Javier García announced that he will be on a radio program tomorrow “giving details about the entire situation.”

The political committee member of the PLD explained that he has never worked in an electoral campaign where there are no differences between the coordinator and the current candidate. However, he specified that in his case, when he goes to a meeting, he expresses any critical situation and leaves that meeting, “it stays there.”

“From now on to work in favor of the Dominican Liberation Party,” concluded his intervention.

Francisco Javier García also highlighted the career of the late José Joaquín Bidó Medina, indicating that he was a moral benchmark and that his memory will always prevail in society and the organization.
“For us, our partner was always a reference and I think that the fact that he was the founder of the PLD contributed a lot to the characteristics of discipline and ethics that our organization developed,” he said.

On his side, Héctor Olivo, PLD Communications Secretary, reported that the remains of José Joaquín Bidó Medina would be buried tomorrow in the Cristo Redentor cement at approximately noon.

He stressed that funerals would not be held at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) facilities, the National House of the PLD, or the National Congress.
