SANTO DOMINGO.- The Ministry of Health ordered the “immediate” termination of Tiote Comercial after a journalistic report revealed “irregularities” in the company that, being the only bidder, won tenders from the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (Inapa ) for almost 100 million pesos.
The Ministry’s report indicates that the center must meet the standards that allow it to be licensed following the General Health Law and the Regulations for Licensing Health Establishments and Services.
Likewise, it granted the company a month to carry out the corresponding procedures and comply with the required legal and health regulations.
The intervention of the Public Ministry or the Procurement and Contracting Office has yet to be heard. It also did not observe the irregularity in the bidding when it arrived at that agency.
