SANTO DOMINGO.- Within the framework of the reflection on the seven words of Good Friday, the Catholic Church referred to the intentions of thousands of young people who decide daily to put their lives in danger by undertaking the so-called “return to Mexico” to reach the United States and other countries in search of better conditions and attributed the situation to the little interest of the authorities in creating conditions for this segment of the population.

The document indicates that the government authorities and the political class pay attention to doing the job justice, leaving young people who lack job opportunities to their fate and pushing them to leave the country.

“The time will come when we Dominicans will be less in our own country,” referring to the interest that every day invades dozens of Dominicans to knock on doors in another country.

The Seven Words is the conventional denomination of the last seven sentences Jesus pronounced during his crucifixion, before dying, as they are collected in the canonical Gospels. The first two, Matthew and Mark, mention only one, the fourth.

These expressions of Jesus on the cross are written in the New Testament gospels.
