Santo Domingo, DR: With an investment of 90 million dollars, a new suite hotel was inaugurated this Monday in Casa de Campo, in the eastern Dominican Republic, generating hundreds of direct jobs in the east part of the country.

The establishment has 64 new suite-type rooms with views of the establishment’s golf course, a Premier Club, and a spa center that are part of the first phase of an expansion project that will be carried out in several stages and whose works began 18 years ago months.

The spa center has a hydrotherapy area, cabins for specialized treatments, relaxation areas, a Juice Bar, and an exclusive VIP Suite, while at Premier Chib, guests will find a private lounge where they will receive personalized service.

The second and third phases of the hotel expansion project will include the construction of new suites, two restaurants, a recreation area for children and young people, a bar, a grill, and two swimming pools.

A Golf Club House will also be built overlooking the renowned “Diente de Perro”/Teeth of the Dog course and the Caribbean Sea; the new Club House, which will have an emblematic sports store/Golf ProShop, a restaurant and a Sports Bar/.

President Luis Abinader, present at the opening ceremony, stressed that “this type of project helps at all levels” and that the key to true development “is to achieve it for everyone, when all of society benefits.”

According to the president, this has been the example of the tourist part of the Central Romana Group, which will continue to have the support of the government to continue developing in the tourist and agro-industrial segment.

“Creating more jobs” is how “you can have a social and economic development” that benefits the neediest, middle and upper classes, said Abinader.

For his part, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, highlighted that the Dominican Republic is an example of how to develop alliances between the public and private sectors and recalled the record figures reached by the country in terms of tourism in the first four months of the year. , during which it received 3.7 million visitors.

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is the complete tourist complex in the Caribbean, with five golf courses designed by the famous architect Pete Dye.

Its sports facilities include the largest skeet shooting center in the entire region, three polo fields, an equestrian center, thirteen tennis courts, and two paddle tennis courts, and the Minitas beach club is also an important part of its attractions.
