SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS.- The Fifth Investigating Court here changed from preventive detention to “placement of electronic locators and house arrest,” the measure of coercion against those accused of being part of a drug trafficking and money laundering network that operated mainly from this city and that it was dismantled in 2021 in an operation that the authorities called “Falcón.”
Judge Cirilo Salomón Sánchez ordered the use of shackles for Antonio Torres Sanabia, José Alejandro de la Cruz Morales, Alberto de Jesús Polanco (El Prieto), and Alberto Enmanuel de Jesús Polanco (Mannya).
However, Juan Maldonado Castro ratified the preventive pressure.
The preliminary hearing in the case was set for June 22 at the Santiago Palace of Justice.
