The Public Ministry and National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) representatives concluded their afternoon through evening operation at the Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo yesterday afternoon. After leaving the restaurant, the prosecutors—among them Sourelly Jáquez, Miguel Collado, and Jonathan Pérez Fulcar—did not reveal any details about the operation. No remarks were made after leaving the café, despite the prosecutor’s earlier assurance that more information concerning the inspection would be released following the surveys. Six substantial black boxes and two smaller cardboard ones thought to hold some evidence found during the search were transported by DNCD agents and Public Ministry staff during the operation.

The Attorney General’s Office and the National Directorate for Drug Control raided the Hard Rock Café Santo Domingo on the fourth level of the Blue Mall Plaza on Monday at or around 4:00 p.m. While the staff waited nearby, DNCD operatives watched at the entrance. At around 7:50 p.m., the restaurant was shut down after the authorities had finished their inquiries.

This operation targets three foreigners who have been sought for extradition by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, where they are charged with various offenses. The “Los Gambinos” farm in Monte Plata is also being searched; thus, the raid on the Hard Rock Café is not the only one going on. Three fugitives related to the criminal organizations “Mocro Maffia” and “No Limit Soldier,” who are accused of trafficking drugs and weapons, killing people, and other crimes in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, were captured by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) and the DNCD.
