Vice President Raquel Peña reported this Thursday that the National Statistics Office (ONE) management was summoned this afternoon to explain the payment delay to some enumerators.

When questioned about the situation that caused a lady to kneel at the ONE facilities demanding payment, she said that as a result of that information, they decided to meet to “act accordingly.”

“We have called a meeting this afternoon to really see what the situation is and immediately act accordingly because whoever has not been paid definitely must be paid,” she said.

The statements were offered at the end of the event “Dare to dream” that she led with Gloria Reyes, director of the social policy program Supérate.

Yesterday the ONE issued a statement detailing that 548 of 35 thousand people have yet to receive payment for participation in the X National Population and Housing Census.

In the document, they also apologized to the collaborators who had not been able to receive the disbursement of the agreed amount.

In December 2022, the institution indicated through the census information bulletin number 22 that it honored the fees and per diems of 99% of the person authorized to work in the census.

While there is a “remaining 1%” who are the ones who, until today, claim their payments.
