Ismael Reyes and Polanco swear in the leadership team of the PDI NY proclaiming victory in the 2024 elections in a crowded act in Upper Manhattan

“The miracle is the 10 billion dollars every 12 months to keep that economy on its feet. And when one thinks that this happens and that we have not even had governments that have deigned to create the Ministry of Dominicans Abroad, which is an old proposal of ours that must be carried out when you are the deputy for this constituency of the abroad," Reyes said.

NEW YORK._ Doctors Ismael Reyes and Yomare Polanco, national presidents in the Dominican Republic and federal presidents in the United States and Canada, swore in the leadership team of the Institutional Democratic Party (PDI) on Tuesday night during a crowded event at the “Brasier” lounge restaurant ” on 202nd Street in the Inwood neighborhood of Upper Manhattan, proclaiming victory in the 2024 elections.

The team is made up of leaders, multipliers, and supervisors from PDI in New York.

Both leaders agreed to ensure that with the swearing-in, the first to be held in New York, the structure of the PDI in the United States is strengthened and the sessions will continue in all the states of constituency #1 to turn the party into an invincible force in the 2024 elections.

Reyes urged the sworn-in to work tirelessly to give Polanco victory and restore the victory that was taken from him in the 2020 elections.

“I have always been able to verify that the Dominicans, no matter where they are in the world, always have the great Dominican Republic in their minds and hearts,” Reyes said before swearing in the team.

He said that he was there because he understands that it is a patriotic duty not to get tired in the fight to try to see how, at some point in Dominican history, men and women can be held in spaces of power who are going to work for the community to clean up the country and create prosperity and well-being, which is what is needed in the Dominican Republic.

“We are a nation blessed by God for a series of factors that make Dominican men and women have that blessing from heaven,” added the national president of the PDI.

“Sadly, as has happened in history, we have been behind in terms of having achieved prosperity for the vast majority of the Dominican people and that is indeed painful,” he stated.

“Despite the growth of the economy, which has grown and no one can deny it, we have a fatal problem that is the distribution of wealth, since still in the Dominican Republic we find ourselves with the fact that 85% of the Today, the total wealth that the country produces remains in the hands of barely 15% of the population,” he stressed.

Reyes specified that this is what makes the Dominican Republic see itself forced to see its children go anywhere in the world, although mainly here, in the United States.

He explained that what the people of the Dominican Republic go looking for is a space where they can have well-being and prosperity that the country where they were born denies them.

“But we can’t stop the fight,” he asked Polanco.

“For this reason, your presence in the National Congress of the Dominican Republic as of next year 2024, places on your burden, on your shoulders, the responsibility of representing this conglomerate of Dominicans who call it the diaspora, that is, the people who has left, who has emigrated not only to be able to improve their living conditions, but to do a miracle for the country,” said the national president of the PDI.

“The miracle is the 10 billion dollars every 12 months to keep that economy on its feet. And when one thinks that this happens and that we have not even had governments that have deigned to create the Ministry of Dominicans Abroad, which is an old proposal of ours that must be carried out when you are the deputy for this constituency of the abroad,” Reyes said.

Before the swearing-in, Ismael said that he left the team in place to strengthen Dominicanness through the election of Polanco as a deputy to the National Congress with the commitment that they have already established in the broad program that Yomare has to defend and represent with dignity the Dominicans and Dominicans in the United States.

“As Yomare Polanco’s team, I swear and promise before God and the country to work from today with all the necessary effort to convert Yomare Polanco into the next deputy to the National Congress representing the Dominicans of the United States, if so. I do, that God and the country protect me, but that they judge me”, was the oath.

Polanco said that “today history is written by thanking the attendees.”

He said that the members of the party’s leadership in New York are top-notch because the organization made sure to look for members who have a track record of transparency, loyalty, and honesty.

“The men and women that we have selected among thousands are people committed to the cause of the people, for the triumph of Polanco and they are the ones who are going to lead New York,” he explained, anticipating that this Saturday another swearing-in will be held in Trenton, New Jersey.

“We will go from state to state, city to city and from town to town where Dominicans are present to have the best representatives of the community supporting our cause and our deputation,” added Polanco.

Among the members of the team are Juan Mañón, federal vice president, Dalmasio de la Cruz, Juan Aquiles de los Santos, Jorge Pichardo, Leo Santiago, Sara Leonardo Gil, Miguel Antonio Cervantes, Yojancy de la Cruz, Reynaldo Frías, Wilfred Ricart, Awilda García, part of the team of 40 leaders who will work in the five boroughs of New York City and surrounding suburbs.

On behalf of the sworn-in, the presenter “La Rubia de la Bachata” spoke, said that she has been a member of the PDI for years where she was a candidate for overseas deputy in 2020, and assured her loyalty to the fight for the triumph of Polanco in 2024.

Upon arrival at the event, Reyes and Polanco were warmly received by those present, many of whom took selfies, videos, and photos with them and hugged them as a sign of loyalty.
