New York, New York.-Ramon Ramirez (MisterDj1).-The Franchise Trade Fair or Festival will be large-scale and focused on Latinos and will begin at the beginning of August
As always, the most prosperous Dominican businessman Rafael Alvarez’s mission is success on a large scale, and this time his goal is to bring franchises to the Latino community.
Mr. Alvarez, who founded ATAX, the first Latino-owned tax preparation franchise, wants to share the industry’s wealth of opportunities with other Latinos, a population he describes as grossly underrepresented in franchising.
According to 2020 Census data, 62.1 million Hispanics live in the United States. This group represents 18.9 percent of the US population, yet Álvarez sees vast inequality. “There are almost 800,000 franchises in the US, and Latino ownership represents only a small percentage. There is a disconnect,” he says. “Many Latinos have a lot of money and resources, and they just don’t know about the franchises and the vision that I have… that’s about to change. Latinos can no longer become invisible.”
In 2022, Álvarez confirmed The Latino Franchise Association (LFA) with the mission to further promote, support, and expand all franchises in the Latino community. LFA (Latin Franchise Association) is the reference organization for Latinos in franchises.
One way LFA will accomplish its mission is through Franchise Fest, a large-scale franchise trade fair or festival, conference, workshop, and networking event.
It will debut on August 4 at the most prestigious and from the very center of Times Square, the Marriot Marquis Hotel in New York City.

To kick off this Franchise Fest, on Thursday, August 3, the LFA will host a golf tournament with a BBQ lunch at Dunwoodie Golf Course in Yonkers.

Álvarez believes bringing the Latino community to franchises in the United States benefits everyone. “Latinos are some of the hardest working people out there. cream; our efforts will benefit the entire industry,” he says. LFA plans to launch additional franchise expos nationwide following the New York City fair. For now, Mister Franquicia Rafael Alvarez is focused on making Franquicias Fest successful in the city where he started it all, New York City.
