McCarthy floated the idea of impeaching Biden, but the DNC insists that ‘Speaker’ Trump makes the decisions.

After House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. Suggested that President Joe Biden may be impeached, the Democratic National Committee referred to the former president as the “real Speaker of the House” and the person making decisions for the GOP.

DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison said in a statement that “he [Trump] has made sure the House majority is little more than an arm of his 2024 campaign, and Kevin McCarthy is happy to do his bidding” by promising to erase Trump’s bipartisan impeachments and now threatening President Biden with a baseless impeachment.

McCarthy raised the prospect of Biden’s impeachment during a conversation with Sean Hannity of Fox News on Monday night about his family’s international business dealings.
According to McCarthy, “This is moving toward the level of an impeachment inquiry, which gives Congress the strongest power to obtain the remaining knowledge and information required.”

“I think we’ll stick with this until the very end. And this will lead to an impeachment inquiry, as required by the Constitution, he said. We also need to find out the answers to these queries.

Biden, according to McCarthy, “used something we have not seen since Richard Nixon” and “used the weaponization of government to benefit his family and deny Congress the ability to have oversight,” he added.

McCarthy’s promise to seek impeachment was dismissed by Harrison of the DNC, who referred to it as “another political stunt intended to help Trump, which House Republicans have already admitted.”

Republicans should collaborate with President Biden to help hardworking Americans, decrease costs, and bring jobs back to America instead of playing repeats of the Trump show, he said. “Instead of wasting the American people’s time and money carrying water for Trump, Republicans should join President Biden in this effort,” he said.

A declassified FBI FD-1023 form that includes informants’ allegations about the then-vice president using his influence to obtain payments from foreign organizations is the basis of the accusations against Biden.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, obtained the paperwork after a protracted search and made a lightly redacted version of it available to the public last week.

“For the better part of a year, I’ve been pushing the Justice Department and FBI to provide details on its handling of significant allegations from a trusted FBI informant implicating then-Vice President Biden in a criminal bribery scheme,” said Grassley. The American people can now read this document for themselves, without the filter of politicians or bureaucrats, owing to daring and heroic whistleblowers. In contrast, the FBI tried to obfuscate and redact it.

The bigger picture involves a Republican-led investigation into claims that Hunter Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, has long abused his father’s position by buying access to him to win jobs and payments for himself and his family abroad. Republicans claim that recent information supports their claim that Biden actively engaged in the scam over the years.

According to a whistleblower who appeared before Congress this week, Biden participated in phone discussions with son Hunter’s foreign business associates.

Democrats successfully impeached Trump twice during his presidency, once for allegedly conducting a pressure campaign on Ukraine to implicate Biden and once for allegedly encouraging the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Trump was not found guilty in each instance, yet some of his followers have since suggested that the blemishes on his presidential record may be removed as Democratic-led farces.
