MIAMA.-The Mexican baseball team defeated Puerto Rico with five runs 4 in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Incidentally, it made history by reaching the semifinals for the first time in this championship.
Mexico will lose a historic comeback after going down on the scoreboard 4-0. Now the Mexicans will face Japan next Monday, March 20.
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías opened the game with a stumble after Puerto Rico modified, making the four and only running against the ninth Mexican in the first inning.
Despite the setback, Urías knew how to recover and began to pitch well, striking out the Puerto Rican batters.
