New York: A commission of legislators from the state of New York made up of Karines Reyes, Amanda Seventh, Yudelka Tapia, Manny De los Santos, and George Álvarez recognized with a proclamation the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic, Alfredo Pacheco, for his important contributions to the Dominicans of New York and his homeland, the Dominican Republic.

“It is recognized that the quality and character of life in communities throughout New York State reflect the caring and dedicated efforts of those who would dedicate themselves to the well-being of the community and its citizens.”

“Following such concern and in full agreement with his ancient traditions, we proudly congratulate the president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic, Alfredo Pacheco, for his important contributions to the Dominicans of New York and his homeland.”

“President Alfredo Pacheco began his political career at the very young age of 18 in 1977, when he joined the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) and now the ruling party, PRM. The legislator, Alfredo Pacheco, has held various positions in the public sector, among them, deputy to the Dominican National Congress for the National District 1990-1994, and national deputy from 1994-1998, 1998-2002 and 2002-2006”.

“As spokesman for the Parliamentary Bloc of the Revolutionary Party from 1997 to 2003, Alfredo Pacheco tenaciously defended bills that favored Dominican connectivity and firmly confronted bills that harmed the well-being and development of the Dominican nation.”

Alfredo Pacheco was the deputy with the most votes in the National District in the 2002 legislative and municipal elections and was elected vice president of his party at the PRD convention.

In 2003, Alfredo Pacheco was elected with the support of all the political parties represented in Congress as President of the Chamber of Deputies, prompting numerous bills to benefit the country and recognizing meritorious personalities in national life, which was characterized by a notable positive change in the image of the Legislative Power and particular of the Chamber of Deputies.

It is the sentiment that those who enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have demonstrated a long and sustained commitment to excellence have undoubtedly earned our recognition and honor; now, so be it.

“That on March 2, 2023, we, the following members of the New York State Assembly, honor President Alfredo Pacheco of the House of Representatives of the Dominican Republic for his exemplary service to his community,” says the proclamation of the State Congress of New York delivered to the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic, Alfredo Pacheco.
