New York: Dr. Yomare Polanco, candidate for deputy for the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) in the 1st constituency abroad, urged all Dominicans living abroad to register, as it is the only way to vote in the upcoming May elections.
The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has set January 21 as the deadline to close the electoral roll abroad for the May 2024 elections.
“Regardless of the processes and struggles we have undertaken to have our right recognized, which every Dominican here and abroad has to choose and be chosen, as our constitution mandates.
We call from our campaign offices for people to register at the various points provided by the Central Electoral Board before the deadline set by the electoral body expires,” Polanco stated.
