Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader continues to bring well-being, justice, security and progress to thousands of families throughout the national territory.
In a tour carried out this Sunday through the border provinces of Elías Piña and Dajabón, the president led the delivery of a total of 1,188 property titles that bring peace to the same number of families, who will be able to enjoy benefits such as access to formal credit and improve commercial activities.
“No government will be able to come and take away your land, nor will any person who sometimes, even through malicious acts, transfer it to you and then say that it is theirs when in reality you have been using it for decades,” the ruler highlighted.
In total, the titling projects in Hondo Valle and Capotillo add up to more than 1,700 certificates, and the president also urged churches and neighborhood associations to dialogue with the remaining families so that they can also receive their titles.
Streamlining the process
The president explained that work is being done to speed up this process so that more Dominicans can have property titles supporting their rights to the land they have occupied and worked for generations.
“We have allocated considerable resources and carried out legal and administrative reforms to make this process more agile and accessible,” he said.
Hondo Valle, Elías Piña
The day’s first visit corresponded to the agricultural and livestock community of Hondo Valle, in which 730 families received property titles for the land where they had their homes and properties.
The beneficiaries are the residents of the sectors Barrera, 30 de Mayo, Barrio Lincoln, Boca de Botado, Los Guineos, Los Rincones, Pedregal, Cañada de Miguel, Cruce Arriba, El Chacha and Los Botados.
The complete degree entails an investment of RD 78,640,000.00 that the government headed by President Luis Abinader covered and saved the beneficiaries since if they carried out the work individually, each one had to pay between 80 and 100,000 pesos.
The president also highlighted that he would return to the community to deliver the highway, recognizing that it is a pending issue and an investment of utmost importance, so work is already underway to finish it as soon as possible.
“With that road in perfect condition, this is, together with Vallejuelo, the southern community to develop the greenhouses, and from here, from Hondo Valle, as I told you a while ago, we are going to produce food for the entire country and especially for the tourist development that is being done in Pedernales, and that you can sell your products at fair prices so that you can support your families.
When delivering the welcome words at the event, Eliferbo Herasme Díaz, director of Utepda, said that with the delivery of titles, a dream of the beneficiaries and a promise of the transformative president, Luis Abinader, is fulfilled.
Capotillo, Dajabón
Subsequently, the president moved to Dajabón, where 458 certificates were delivered and recalled that this was an act of social justice so that the beneficiaries have a guarantee to plan new projects.
While the executive director of the Technical Titling Unit, Duarte Méndez, highlighted that the project would benefit the sectors of Bonito Valle, Capotillo, Corozal Abajo, El Junco, Hipólito Billini, Pueblo Nuevo, Tres Palmas, Villa Esperanza and Villa Porvenir.
In this community, the savings to the beneficiaries amount to RD 58,960,000.00, which covers a geographical area of 5,107,808.29 square meters.
Transforming lives
With these acts, President Abinader’s government transforms people’s lives, Duarte Méndez emphasized.
“What we have done is a lot, but now what remains to be done is much more because the change was a promise before the year 2020, and now it has become a great reality, and the change continues to be a great hope for the people Dominican”.
President Abinader was accompanied by the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos; the Environment and Natural Resources, Miguel Ceara Hatton; and the governor of Elías Piña, Johanna Martínez.
