President Abinader leads the follow-up meeting on the Citizen Security Plan.

Santo Domingo.- As part of the efforts made by the Government to strengthen the  Citizen Security Plan of the Dominican Republic, President Luis Abinader is currently leading the weekly meeting at the National Police Palace.

This meeting, which began at 10:50 in the morning in the Officers’ Club Room of the Police Palace,  aims to evaluate and follow up on the actions implemented to strengthen citizen security.

Accompanying President Abinader are the Minister of the Presidency,  Joel Santos Echavarría, along with the Minister of the Interior and Police,  Jesús Vásquez Martínez; Vice Admiral  Ramón Guzmán Betances Hernández, representing the Minister of Defense Lieutenant General  Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa; the general director of the National Police, Major General  Eduardo Alberto Then; the general commander of the Army of the Dominican Republic, Major General  Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, and that of the Navy of the Dominican Republic, Vice Admiral  Agustín Alberto Morillo Rodríguez, as well as the president of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), Vice Admiral  José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa.

Also, the director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant),  Hugo Beras, and as a guest, the general director of Customs,  Eduardo Sanz Lovatón.

In addition, representatives of the Public Ministry were at the meeting, led by the deputy attorney general and head of the Public Ministry’s Prosecution Directorate,  Yeni Berenice Reynoso, and prosecutors from the country’s different provinces.
