Members of the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD) and agents of the National Police carried out an operation early on Tuesday in the Ensanche Bolívar, Hoyo de Bartola, El Dorado, and Hoyo del Caimito sectors of the province of Santiago.
According to preliminary information, several detainees, as a result of the raid, were transferred to the Palace of Justice in the northern city.
Among the elements seized by the authorities during the investigations is military ammunition.
Santiago woke up this Tuesday observing helicopters flying over areas of the province.
The operation is also carried out in La Vega.
