Social Plan of the Presidency sends first aid kits to provinces under alert for storm Franklin.

Santo Domingo.- As soon as the relief agencies activated the alerts throughout the national territory due to the havoc that the Franklin storm could cause, the director of the Social Plan of the Presidency, Yadira Henríquez, ordered the shipment of thousands of first aid kits to the different provinces and vulnerable areas of the country.

Henríquez reported that, following President Luis Abinader’s instructions, this institution’s rapid action teams are prepared to offer timely assistance to families that could be affected by the atmospheric phenomenon.

The State also supplied the relief agencies to ensure rescuers could perform their functions.

“We are in permanent session; Our teams are already present in the different collection centers established by the authorities. Please take advantage of this route to call on all families living in vulnerable areas to take the necessary measures to protect their lives and be aware of the recommendations offered by relief agencies. Henriquez stated.

The emergency kits sent by the Social Plan include food rations, mattresses, sheets, mosquito nets, and water bundles.
