Santo Domingo, DR: The government of President Luis Abinader, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Dominican Embassy in Israel, took steps to evacuate all Dominicans who, until now, had requested assistance to leave that country. Nation, which declared a state of war following the terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas.
The institution detailed that, thanks to the collaboration of the Republic of Ecuador, the country managed to get the last ten Dominicans waiting to leave that nation to embark on a humanitarian flight to Quito.
He reported that, in the Ecuadorian capital, these nationals were received by personnel from the Dominican embassy in that country, where they spent the night for three days, with accommodation covered by the Dominican Foreign Ministry, until they returned to the Dominican Republic safe and sound this Wednesday night.
It is recalled that another 17 Dominicans who were also stranded in Israel and maintained constant communication with the Dominican diplomatic delegation and the Vice Ministry of Consular and Immigration Affairs left that country by their means. Of these, there are 27 Dominicans who have gone to that nation.
The Ministry recalled that the first axis of the Dominican foreign policy outlined by President Luis Abinader and executed by Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez is the protection of Dominicans wherever they are; therefore, by unleashing the war between Israel and Hamas immediately activated the protocol to assist those in need.
The institution added that it maintains open contact with the Dominican Embassy in Israel at +972 3-611-4883 via WhatsApp and its social networks @RdenIsrael to respond to requests from other Dominicans who want to leave Israeli territory.
