Santo Domingo.- The Government announced the use of the Waze mobility platform during the days in which the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government will be held in the country to keep the citizenship on road traffic contingencies in the National District.

The application will be activated on Wednesday the 22nd, allowing people to connect to it immediately; the map will appear with alternate routes enabled to move more comfortably and quickly.

This information was offered by the spokesman and director of Strategy and Communication of the Presidency, Homero Figueroa.

He explained that the purpose of this innovation is to be able to use this strategy and for users to receive “push notifications,” or notifications that will automatically reach their cell phones.

Figueroa added that in this way, the Government would collaborate with the mobility of citizens on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th when the presidents, vice presidents, prime ministers, and foreign ministers of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba are in the country. , Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.

The XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government will take place in the country from March 24 to 25 at the headquarters of the Dominican Foreign Ministry with the motto “Together for a just and sustainable Ibero-America,” which will make Santo Domingo in the capital of Latin America.

During this event, 14 presidents, two vice presidents, two prime ministers, and 22 foreign ministers will come to the country and adopt important instruments to guarantee the region’s development.
