The reception ceremony for the two new helicopters took place at the 1st Air Cavalry Squadron of the National Army.
The acquisition of these aircraft will strengthen the operations carried out by the institution, such as surveillance, patrolling with air mobility, and tactical maneuvers, especially in the border area where the terrain, due to its rugged conditions, makes land access difficult.
In addition, they may be used due to their optimal characteristics for search and rescue operations, medical evacuations, training, and other missions in which air cavalry elements are required.
