NEW YORK – According to the NYPD, a lady is accused of repeatedly stabbing a mother who was stroller-pulling her 3-year-old daughter in downtown Brooklyn.
After being detained on Wednesday, Lequasiah Lawrence, 25, was charged with attempted murder and assault.
The incident took place at the intersection of Jay Street and Tillary Street on Monday at 3:30 p.m.
Police claim that Lawrence approached the 34-year-old woman while she was wheeling a stroller with her child inside when an argument started between them.
When the mother stepped between Lawrence and the stroller, Lawrence allegedly threatened to hurt the child.
Lawrence allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim several times in both legs and chest.
Then Lawrence took off north on Jay Street.
The victim was sent in stable condition to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
The youngster was unharmed.
