Dmytro Kuleba, the foreign minister of Ukraine, called on his nation to sever diplomatic ties with Iran and declared that his nation would send an official request to the State of Israel asking for air defense systems and the beginning of a high-quality partnership in supplying technology to Ukraine.
According to Kuleba, “Today, Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to urgently provide Ukraine anti-aircraft systems and to begin high-quality collaboration on acquiring suitable technology for Ukraine.”
The foreign minister emphasized that there are “no objective reasons why” military cooperation with Israel should not take place.
Iran is a “red line” for Israel, and now that Iran has actively participated in the crime of aggression against Ukraine, Kuleba continued, everyone in Israel who still has any doubts about whether or not to support Ukraine needs to get rid of them.
“Today, without exaggeration, Israel is being targeted by the same drones that destroy Ukraine. This statement, in my opinion, says it all, and I believe that it should serve as the foundation for future Israeli policy growth.
In addition, Kuleba proposed to Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine on Tuesday that Iran’s diplomatic ties be severed due to Iran’s support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The foreign minister said, “I submit to the consideration of the president of Ukraine a proposal to sever diplomatic relations with Iran in light of the numerous damages caused by Iranian drones to the civil infrastructure of Ukraine, the deaths and suffering caused to our people, as well as in connection with the emergence of reports about the possible continuation of Iran’s supply of weapons to Russia.
Kuleba further emphasized that Ukraine has “a bag of evidence” demonstrating that Iran is giving Russia drones to use in the conflict.
The Prime Minister’s Office refuses to respond to inquiries over Tuesday’s remarks by Kuleba.
Nachman Shai: Ukrainians have a right to defense
Nachman Shai, Israel’s minister for diaspora affairs, recently urged Israel to aid Ukraine militarily, saying “there is no longer any doubt where Israel should stand in this horrible battle.”
Dmitry Medvedev, a former leader of Russia, cautioned on Monday that arming Kyic would be “extremely dangerous” and “damage government relations between our nations.”
Shai said on Army Radio on Tuesday in reaction to the outcry in Russia over his remarks, “The Russian bear is not unhappy at Turkey that gives drones to Ukraine, nor at other nations outside of Europe who help – but as soon as Lapid voiced a sharp criticism then he woke up. Citizens of Ukraine have a right to protection.
Russia is using Iranian drones to attack Ukraine.
It has been proven that Moscow has used Iranian drones in attacks on Ukraine ever since the US initially warned that Moscow intended to buy drones from Iran to use in the continuing invasion of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported on Tuesday that it had destroyed five Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.
The head of the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Oleksiyovych Budanov, cautioned on Tuesday that Ukraine’s air defense systems are “totally insufficient.”
Budanov noted that 1,750 drones, along with other orders, were part of the initial batch of drones Russia purchased from Iran. They are gradually running out, and the Iranians are producing new ones, but we routinely take down 70% of all drones, so there is another aspect to this problem, according to Budanov.
