More than a hundred Dominicans, including businesses, professionals, community members, religious leaders, students, housewives, and average residents, helped establish the political movement “Joining Forces with Leonel” (JOIN), which is headed by businessman Ray Fabián. Fabián addressed those present who had not been involved in politics, saying, “This movement was born to support Dr. Leonel Fernández, because we studied the political, social, and economic conditions of the DR and the potential candidates for 2024, and we unanimously concluded that only the former president is the one who best matches our ideals and represents us as a political project.”
As a project, “we are committed to working together to build and implement a technological education model that contributes to the growth, bolstering, and innovation of society, establishing a healthy and competitive social environment,” he stated. It is no secret that our country is presently going through one of the worst government crises in history, and he said that the current administration “had failed society in education, citizen security, losing control of delinquency, and with the family basket through the roof.”
Additionally speaking were businesspeople Henry Abreu and Quilvio Mantesino, the general coordinator of the constituency 1-USA’s external sector, and Máximo Corsino, the president of the People’s Force (FP) chapter in New Jersey.
