A neighborhood in Neptune Township was evacuated due to a significant police investigation.
According to the police, a person was barricaded inside a house near Route 33 and Eighth Avenue at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Although no immediate details were available, Neptune Township police asked people to stay away from the scene. According to them, it was a singular incident with no risk to the general public.
Residents who spoke with News 12 New Jersey claim they were not at home when the situation started but was barred from entering their homes. It was also forbidden for people who were inside their homes to leave.
For a while, the area lost power.
Law enforcement agencies from the county and the local area are involved in the investigation.
