On April 26, 2023, the State Attorney General’s Office reported that Assemblyman Peter Calo was arrested in flagrante delicto for allegedly raping a 19-year-old girl.
“The Prosecutor’s Office carries out proceedings and deploys the relevant protocols, to decide their legal situation in the next few hours,” says the institution.
Peter Calo is a member of the assembly for the province of Cotopaxi and is a member of the Permanent Commission of Autonomous Governments, Decentralization, Competences, and Organization of the Territory.
