SANTO DOMINGO.- President Luis Abinader appointed Ernesto Bournigal Read by Decree as Superintendent of the Stock Market.
The designation of Bournigal Leer is contained in Decree number 696-22.
This provision repeals article 1 of Decree number 511-12 of August 24, 2012, as well as article 1 of Decree number 572-12 of September 14, 2012, and article 3 of Decree 343-September 18 of 18, 2018.
Ernesto Bournigal Read is a lawyer who graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in 2003 with honors. Subsequently, in 2005, he completed an LLM in Banking and Finance Law, concentration in Project Finance and Stock Market Transactions from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts.
His professional practice has focused on private practice, primarily in financial law, project finance, and corporate transactions, as part of some of the most distinctive firms in the Dominican Republic, including Oficina Bobadilla and OMG. Legal directories have recognized him for his professional practice in financial law.
For the past two years, Mr. Bournigal has worked as Cabinet Director of the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency (MAPRE), assuming leadership roles in the minister’s cabinet and assisting in the ministry’s strategic projects.
