Santo Domingo.- The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, posthumously appointed Eugenio de Jesús Marcano Fondeur as national naturalist of the Dominican Republic.
The presidential provision is contained in Decree No. 522-23 of October 19.
The decree highlights the contributions of Professor Marcano Fondeur as an explorer with in-depth knowledge of the entire national geography, a diligent naturalist, and a vigorous defender of biodiversity and the country’s natural resources.
