Alpha Phi is on a “restoration plan” with the national organization and probation with the university. The status of Pi Beta Phi at the sorority’s main office is “excellent.”
On Wednesday, the University of Idaho Alpha Phi and Pi Beta Phi chapters and their respective national organizations did not immediately respond to inquiries. The University of Idaho likely did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A Pi Beta Phi headquarters representative told Fox News Digital on Tuesday that members of the Idaho Alpha Chapter at the University of Idaho “were close friends with Kernodle and Mogen.”
The emailed statement reads: “They and their families, along with the entire Vandal community, are in the thoughts of Pi Beta Phi members throughout North America.” Pi Beta Phi’s main concern is to help the members of the University of Idaho chapter cope with this loss.
Hours before the murders, Kernodle was at the Sigma Chi residence with her partner, a fraternity member, and 20-year-old Ethan Chapin, who was also fatally stabbed on November 13.
Both the University of Idaho and the national headquarters list Sigma Chi as being of “excellent standing.”
Around 1:45 a.m. m., the couple returned to Kernodle’s off-campus home, which was less than half a mile from the frat house.
Goncalves and Mogen visited the Corner Club from 10:00 p.m. about. On November 12 at 1:40 a.m. on November 13, Kernodle and Chapin were at Sigma Chi. A fellow University of Idaho student referred to the neighborhood pub as “the hub of Greek life on campus,” with packed crowds on most Fridays and Saturdays.
