Dominican Consulate in NY and Vanessa Gibson to Raise Dominican Flag in The Bronx

New York: The Dominican consulate, led by the honorable consul, Eligio Jáquez, in coordination with Vanessa Gibson, president of The Bronx Borough, is organizing a grand flag-raising event following Monday, February 26th, in honor of the Dominican heritage in NY.
The festivity will occur in front of the building housing Gibson’s offices at The Office Bronx Borough President, in the building commonly known as Corte Grande, located at 161st Street and Grand Concourse Avenue.

The celebration, which includes the swearing-in of dozens of new Dominican citizens, is scheduled for noon on Monday, February 26th, and the entire Dominican and Latin population of NYC and its surrounding areas are invited to attend.
According to a press release distributed by the Dominican Consular office, the flag will be raised at the front of the building, followed by the swearing-in ceremony for the dozens of new Dominicans on the first floor of the same building.
